Essential Liquor #22

#22) Canadian Whiskey - We have a ton of Canadian whiskeys in Wisconsin. Why not just use the American stuff for your 30 Essentials?
Girls and weak-livered dudes, that's why. They usually turn their collective noses up at quality Tennessee whiskey because of its full body (due to its filtering process through maple charcoal), but can be turned to whiskey drinkers all with the light tastes for Seagram's Seven and Seven. Crown Royal and Canadian Club are also very affordable and highly mixable unlike its Tennessee and Scotland counterparts.

I went to the classic Savoy drink guide for a recipe that calls specifically for Canadian Club, but Crown Royal or Forty Creek will sub well.

Imperial Fizz

2 ounces Canadian Club
1 ounce light rum
juice of 1/2 a lemon
7up to taste

The original recipe calls for sugar and club soda. You can try it, but it isn't that necessary for this drink which stays crisp either way.
