2 ounces Flor de Cana Rum
1 ounce Malibu
1 ounce pineapple juice
1 ounce orange juice
1 ounce ginger beer
Splash grenadine
I guess the Around America series has become the Around America(s) series with this little Central American beauty. Obviously meant to quaff delicately on a warm beach with the sand between your toes, this variation on the classic Mai Tai may just encourage an Indian Summer to break out here in the frigid tundras of the Dairyland. To pour a Maleku Mai Tai, grab a tall glass like the hurricane glass pictured here and fill it with ice. Pour in the rum, Malibu, pineapple and orange juices. Stir. Add grenadine and cap with ginger beer. Give it one more turn with your bar spoon. Drink.
